Voice control

Say it out loud. Move it forward.

Something to remember, an agreed task or the hours you just worked. Tell Nopsa in your own words. Voice control helps turn thoughts into tasks and time entries with less typing.

Open Nopsa
A spoken request becomes a task draft: Book a bike service, due tomorrow. The user reviews and saves the task.

Capture a task while it is on your mind

An idea rarely arrives when your task list is already open. Open Nopsa’s microphone and say, for example: “Add a task to book a bike service for tomorrow.” Nopsa turns your words into a task draft for you to review and save.

You can mention a due date and an existing project or client in the same sentence. Nopsa attempts to fill in the matching fields. Check the result and add anything missing, so a personal errand or work agreed in a meeting does not rely on memory alone.

Log your hours while the work is still fresh

Open the microphone in the Work hours view and describe what you did and when. For example: “I worked on homepage design today from nine to eleven.” Nopsa prepares a time-entry draft and attempts to match it to the task you named.

Check the task, date and start and end times before saving. Logging time just after the work reduces the need to reconstruct your week later. Hours saved against a task can also form the basis for hourly invoicing.

Ask what is happening on your task list

The task view’s microphone also accepts questions: “What tasks do I have this week?” or “Which of my tasks are overdue?” Nopsa answers using the task information available to the assistant.

A short answer helps you identify your next step. The answer appears as text and can also be read aloud in a supported browser. If you have many tasks or need a complete overview, check the task view as well.

Move billable client work forward

Billing voice commands currently use Finnish. In the billing view, say, for example: “Laskuta asiakas Esimerkkiasiakas” (“Invoice customer Esimerkkiasiakas”). Nopsa selects that client’s tasks that are ready for billing and starts transferring them to the active accounting service.

Check the client, tasks, hours, prices and billing products before giving an invoicing command. Unlike creating a task or a time entry, this command starts the invoicing action. You need a Pro or Lifetime plan with invoicing, an active accounting connection and the required permissions with that service.

Tap the microphone, speak and review

First choose the relevant view: tasks, work hours or billing. Tap the microphone and allow microphone access if your browser asks. Say one clear request at a time, then tap the microphone again to stop recording. Recording also stops automatically after a maximum of 20 seconds.

Voice control requires an internet connection and a browser or device that supports microphone recording. You can correct task and time-entry drafts before saving. The regular forms remain available whenever speaking is inconvenient.

Frequently asked questions

How does voice control help?

It reduces typing, especially on a phone, and makes it easier to capture tasks and work hours while they are fresh in your mind. You can also ask about your tasks and start client invoicing in the billing view.

Which languages can I use?

Task creation, time entries and questions about tasks support Finnish, English, Swedish, German and Spanish. The task assistant responds in the language selected in the app. Billing voice commands currently use Finnish.

Is a task or time entry saved as soon as I speak?

No. Nopsa opens a task or time-entry draft for you to check and save. Invoicing works differently: the voice command selects a client’s tasks that are ready for billing and starts the accounting transfer, so review billing details before giving the command.

Does voice control work offline?

Voice control needs an internet connection. Audio is sent to a speech recognition service for processing. It also requires microphone permission and a browser or device that supports audio recording.
